I believe teachers should be empowered to teach—not burdened with policing technology or filling every role society asks of them. Investing in teachers/education staff, and in thoughtful policy choices, builds stronger classrooms, better student outcomes, and a brighter future for our community.
Please consider joining our campaign by volunteering or donating what you can to continue this work for all the students of Solano County. I am interested in your thoughts and ideas for our district to move forward. Email me here: TeresaLavellSCBOE2026@gmail.com
And don't forget to vote by November 3rd!

Dear Friends and Neighbors
I am running for re-election to the Board of Education because there is more work to be done. I want every child to have the chance to succeed, and that starts with strong public schools and well-supported teachers and staff. For too long, Prop 98 has been misused to justify inadequate funding, and I’m committed to advocating for a sustainable approach that truly invests in our students and in the educators who guide them.
My priorities include securing adequate funding, improving literacy skills, and minimizing the harm of excessive classroom technology. I’ve worked collaboratively through SCSBA to bring board members together around efforts like AB 1454 to strengthen reading proficiency and share solutions across districts.
Your support, whether financial or practical, is crucial to my campaign - thank you!
Key Initiatives
Ensure Adequate Funding
I believe we need a more honest and sustainable approach to education funding — one that truly invests in the people doing the work and in the students they serve.
Improve Literacy Skills
I am committed to advancing literacy efforts like AB 1454 because strong reading skills open every door for a child's future.
Minimize the Harm of Excessive Technology
I support giving districts the tools they need to keep classrooms focused and productive - without adding more pressure on teachers to police devices.
